They are the dataset's own source, so they are kept only as its uncertainty spread and not as a check. "no_open_reference": "No open source found (2026-11-05) that states a per-tonne electricity for compressing (and drying) high-purity CO2 to pipeline pressure independently of the dataset. Read: McCollum, D.L., Ogden, J.M. (2006) UCD-ITS-RR-06-14, section 'Calculation of Compressor & Pump Power Requirements', pp. 2-4, which prints the compressor and pump power equations and a figure of power against flow, but no per-tonne value. Evaluated by us with the parameter values it states (five stages from 0.1 to 7.38 MPa with their Z and k, inlet 40 degC, isentropic efficiency 0.75; pump from 7.38 to 15 MPa, 630 kg/m3, efficiency 0.75), it gives 100.4 kWh/t compression plus 4.5 kWh/t pumping, 104.8 kWh/t, without cooling-water power or drying. That is our own model evaluation, so it is not recorded as a range. NETL (2023) DOE/NETL-2023/3907 gives 105.6 kWh/t (ammonia, Exhibits 5-3 and 5-4: 5,860 kW over 55,488 kg/h) and 112.7 kWh/t (ethanol, Exhibits 5-22 and 5-23: 1,840 kW over 16,329 kg/h), divided by us; it is the dataset's own source, so it is not a check either. Both are kept as the dataset's uncertainty spread.",
