Portland cement clinker

Grey Portland cement clinker: calcium silicates and aluminates (alite, belite, aluminate and ferrite phases) with some free lime and MgO, about 65 % CaO (IPCC 2006 Vol. 3, section 2.2.1.2). Composition varies by plant. No composition recorded here: cement-clinker-1 carries its own model formula, with its sources.

ISO 14044 requires a critical review (by a panel of interested parties, ISO/TS 14071) of a comparative assertion intended to be disclosed to the public. These routes are listed side by side for screening; a statement that one is better than another needs that review. None of these routes has had such a review.
