How the Atlas is made

Adding a process is a new folder in git, not a website change.

  1. Process library. One folder per process, with a process.yaml manifest and, for engineering projects, the ChemE-as-Code files: DEXPI P&IDs, flowsheet, layout, LCA.
  2. Catalog. A build step validates every manifest and derives a deterministic catalog.
  3. Atlas and Viewer. The Atlas is for breadth: find processes, follow chemicals between them (graph, chemicals), compare footprints. The engineering Viewer, embedded on each engineering project's page, is for depth: drawings, streams, 3D layout and checks.

The toolkit behind the files is documented at docs.cheme-as-code.org. Source: process library, Viewer.

Who builds the Atlas and how to cite it: team, how to cite.
